Parking and Transportation
App State offers a variety of convenient parking locations, including surface lots and covered parking decks. Parking permits are required for University lots Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, year-round. Whether you’re looking for attendee parking or a local shuttle around town, Conference & Event Services will organize your parking and transportation requirements for your event.
Bus and Shuttle Services
AppalCART
AppalCART is a fare-free bus transit system that serves App State, Boone and Watauga County. For routes and schedules, accessibility or other information and services visit the AppalCART website.
Intercity Bus Service
Boone is served by two NCDOT Intercity Bus routes. The Mountaineer and High-Country Gateway routes are operated by Sunway Charters and provide daily service to Boone from locations across the state. Hickory Hop
The Hickory Hop offers a shuttle service from Boone, Blowing Rock and Hickory to the Charlotte Airport 7 days a week. Executive service is also available and serves additional locations.
